AI and Data Processing
Zealel uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized relationship guidance and insights. Here's how:
- AI Sessions: Your conversation data during AI-assisted sessions is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate helpful, contextual responses. This data is processed solely to deliver the service and is not retained by OpenAI for model training. See OpenAI's API data usage policy for details.
- Mood Analysis: With your permission, we may analyze mood patterns to provide insights
- Content Generation: AI generates personalized prompts, questions, and suggestions
- Data Minimization: We only process data necessary for the specific feature you're using
Important: Your personal conversations and data are NOT used to train AI models. Data sent to OpenAI through our API is processed in real time to generate responses and is not used by OpenAI to train or improve their models.

- Firebase (Google Cloud): Push notification delivery
- OpenAI (San Francisco, CA): AI-powered session responses and content generation, governed by their API data usage policy
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: Third-party authentication

International Data Transfers
Your data is processed and stored in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers and service providers (Supabase, OpenAI, Firebase) are located.
By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that all data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data receives an adequate level of protection through our contractual arrangements with service providers.

- Active Accounts: We retain your data while your account is active
- Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion request, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
